Baseball/Softball We have been making baseball netting for as long as we have been in business. Our nets are used in batting cages, backstops, baseline protection, L-screens, soft toss nets, and other baseball equipment. We manufacture five different knotted netting sizes K21T, K36T, K42T, K60T and K96T in our standard 1 3/4" mesh. We have also introduced SPECTRA netting to the game of baseball. Our SPECTRA nets are designed for especially demanding applications that require a light but strong netting. Spectra is made of the same fiber used in body armor and is stronger and lighter than any other netting available today. Because of its extraordinary properties SPECTRA is the netting of choice for use in professional baseball stadiums, collegiate and university ball fields as well as many municipal and local stadiums. West Coast Netting has been manufacturing baseball netting and batting cages for over 50 years and we have seen many products come and go. We have also seen the shift from the heavy use of nylon netting towards high quality polyester netting and now polymer netting. While polymer based netting is quite inexpensive, it is also of inferior quality and durability to that of polyester. Polyester is the netting that is preferred by professionals, colleges & universities, high schools and individuals who are looking for high performing nets to practice their preferred sport. West Coast Netting has always focused on providing value, quality and durability in our batting cages and for this reason we only use the highest quality polyester netting treated with a proprietary latex/acrylic based carbon black treatment for added ruggedness, durability, abrasion resistance and UV protection superior to that of absorbed UV treatments. Our focus on quality and durability is such that we have chosen to use only the best materials available. Our competition has chosen to focus their marketing efforts in touting the ability of their nets to withstand UV rays through the use of polymers and carbon based dyes that permeate the netting, however these people fail to point that the life of a batting cage life is dependent on the amount of use the net receives and not UV exposure. While we do agree that UV protection is important, we are also experienced, skilled and adept at our trade to know that abrasion and strength are the most important factors in selecting a batting cage to maximize life. Every batting cage that we produced is made from the highest polyester twines which make the highest quality knotted and woven netting, treated with a latex/acrylic based carbon black treatment to add ruggedness, durability, abrasion resistance and superior UV protection and it is through this effective and sure footed formula that we have been able to achieve extraordinary results.
